An unarmed family of 20 men, women and children come to the door of your house uninvited. The leader tells you they intend to open the door, and move right in, taking your couch as their bed, your Laz-E-Boy as their bed, your bed as their bed, your pantry as their larder, your stove as their stove, and he (the leader) tells you he personally intends to make your wife and son his slaves, and your daughter his wife. You, he has no need for, so you he will kill.
You have a pistol at you side, already loaded with ammunition.
You are hopelessly outnumbered, but they are unarmed.
Do you brandish your weapon warning them to keep away from your house?
If that doesn’t work, do you fire off a few warning shots to make it clear your home will not be invaded?
If they still demonstrate their intention to move right on into your home and make it theirs, do you shoot one or two in the hopes the rest will understand you mean business?
Remember, now, you ARE outnumbered.
Or do you let them come right on in, knowing they intend to take and keep everything of yours and make it theirs, but refuse to shoot any of them because they are unarmed?
Now, why would anyone find it difficult to understand why Israel fired on the mob of “unarmed” Syrians marching on the Israeli border, announcing beforehand that they intend to make Israel their home? Doesn’t the mere intent to move in uninvited make the act an invasion? Doesn’t the mere size of the crowd make the act an act of aggression? Isn’t deadly force warranted to defend your home?
The “Palestinians” were not driven out nor kicked out, they fled of their own volition. Some thought the Syrians, Jordanians, and Egyptians would mop the floor with the Israelis, and they would be right back in their old digs soon enough. Some of them SOLD their holdings to the Jews before they left, perhaps thinking they could bring the money the Jews had given them and make a better life for themselves. I am sure it must have been a crushing blow to them to find out their handful of beads was all they were going to have, because the land now belonged, lock, stock, and barrel, to the Jews. You see, the Jews were friends with some good lawyers, and had gotten signed receipts.
