I am disabled and cannot do much and decided to get a cleaner, could not find anyone privately willing to do it so went to an agency and after a few weeks the manager phoned and said need to change things around as cleaner can;t come anymore. I asked if there was a problem she said she is cutting back and you’re 1 of them and maybe her hubby put his foot down and wants her home more. I thought this was very unprofessional of her true or not. She offered me another woman and turns out it was 1 who employed my daughter to do childcare and she told me her house was 10 times worse than ours. I thought that obviously this agency is not checking people out properly and before employing someone I would want to know they can look after their own house. So when I said oh well not want her was asked why and I told her i will cancel my clean as I didn;t like the way things were going she said that my woman didn’t want to come back as my house was dirty…isn’t that what i pay her £14 an hour to do clean the bloody place? What steps can i take to make sure she doesn’t go round telling people about my business? I told her she was very rude and unprofessional they knew why I needed a cleaner. Staff aren’t CRB checked either (UK Criminal records check) I was going to be here each time so I didn;t worry too much
Open Question: How do I go about investigating a business?
