At first, I was going trick or treating with four of my friends. There are going to be four adults coming with us.
But now I can’t go because my mom is scared. She’s not telling me why, she’s keeps saying that she thinks she’s sick.
Would a sick person be working at home??
It all started at school. We we’re planning to go trick or treating on Halloween with everyone.
We planned to go for about two – three hours and come back to my friend, Jessica, house.
We all asked our parents if we can go. The four of their parents agreed with it except my mother.
My dad isn’t here, he went on a business trip.
My mom is scared and I don’t even know why. I asked her and just says that she just doesn’t want me to go.
I told her we were going around the city with four adults.
She still doesn’t agree. So I told her she can come with us. And her excuse? She’s sick and she’s working at home.
I want to go real bad and I already made my costume. She said that I can go next year. But I don’t think any of us are going.
I am 14 and going to be 15 in two weeks.
I’m just wondering who is right? I know she’s being an overprotected mother and I totally respect that; but she’s not giving me much freedom. I’m not mad at her but I was really looking forward to this day.
I’m actually dissapointed.
I just stayed at home watching tv the whole day.
My friends keep telling me to try to persuade her or at least try to do something.
I know my friends are going to talk about what happened…
I’m just saying, how can I get over it? What do I do? How can I understand my mother?
What the hell can I do then just sitting and watch tv?!
