Open Question: is debarking reverseable?

I got a dog from a dog shelter and I told them I needed a dog that barked because I live in the country. I am home all day and I need to know when someon is in the driveway. Well, I have this dog and it has obviously been debarked. It is sweet and It has bonded with me. I don’t want to send it back to the woman who lied to me about the dog being able to bark. Anyone who would just debark a dog is not humane and should not be in the shelter business. I am able to train my dogs not to bark all the time.
Now I need a dog that barks because of where I live and I have one sad one that can not. So I have to go out and get a puppy and train it to be a watch dog. I will end up with 3 dogs because I already had an elderly Maltese.
I am so angry at this woman who took advantage of me.
