Last weekend, I got a silver 160 GB iPod Classic for my birthday. I put my music & videos on it, and later that night I was listening to it and could feel the iPod vibrating really hard, and from arms-length, everytime I went to a new file or folder, a laser-like sound would come from it. I learned it was a crappy hard drive, and I needed to return it. I went to the store the next day, swapped it out for a new one. Got home, put my music & videos on it, and it made the same vibration and same laser-like noise!
I returned it back from the store, got my money back and brought my business to another store. This time, I got a black 160 GB iPod – I haven’t put any music or videos on it yet and guess what – THIS iPod is making the SAME noise as the last two!
I am so tired of this iPod having these issues. Some people say it is totally normal, and some people say it’s not at ALL normal.
I’m about to give up and just get a iTouch, but I really like the Classic – I can’t stand the iTouch!
IS THIS VIBRATION AND LASER-LIKE SOUND NORMAL?!
