Open Question: Is this the complete total end?

I had a friend 20 years ago. He moved away and we re-met four months ago. We spoke by phone for hours for two months and decided to re-meet in person. We skipped dating and I moved into his place. He started not paying attention to his life and missed a few important dates. Meanwhile I was putting my business in place lining up marketing and licenses. I also was out working every day while he was sitting at home thinnking about his lilfe but not really getting it done. He realized he was not getting life life done and he kicked me out . Now he is sending out feelers to me to see if I miss him. I do. But it bothers me that he kicked me out in the first place. Is this the end or should I pursue him He has it basically together in other ways (including fiscally) he just got off track. I could see it but he couldn’t Will he come back? I am pretty certain he does love m….and he said so ……
