I have been on and off with a girl for 7 years and when we were about 3 years into the relationship I chose to follow her to the college she was going to (in hopes of keeping the relationship alive). Well anyway from the start she didn’t spend as much time with me as I would have wanted and we started arguing and fighting all the time… she ended up dumping me and cut off all contact with me for about a month. I moved back home (about an hour away) and went to community college for a year while starting to talk to her again and we patched things up. I made the 2 hour roundtrip drive hundreds of times to see her, she never came back to see me once. I completed community college and decided that I was going to go to the college I had wanted to go to since I was 5 which was 1200 miles away. I figured we were already long distance so it wouldnt have mattered. We weren’t going out when I left but she didn’t want to get back together either. Since I left my grades have gone up, I built a successful business, and love the weather out here. In all the time I’ve been out here, she hasn’t come to see me once and refuses to. She also is telling me she’ll never leave her family and move out of state. I told her thats fine but I’m not moving to where she lives again to get dumped again by her. The problem is she still texts me all the time to see what I’m doing, she always says she wants to talk but all she says is the same thing that she isn’t going to leave and I should just deal with it.
What do you think I should do?
