Open Question: Okay, so I just brought home my gerbils.. ONE IS ACTING LIKE A ROBOT?

I bought a gray one, and a pink eyed white gerbil. Both females. So, I out them in their cage and left them alone for a while.. I was laying on my bed, and I heard a weird sort of shuffling and stopping noise.. I went to check on them, and my white gerbil was walking around like a robot!! She would be going along with her normal business, but every move was a start and stop, a start and stop! It was really weird.. It was like watching a stop-motion video!! I’m a little concerned.. was she just nervous and hyper? Is this normal!? I think I might be overly-worried or something.. but WHY IS MY GERBIL ACTING LIKE A ROBOT?
Thanks for the advice Hayley! (: That calmed my nerves! As for little gerbil dude, … well.. may he RIP! :( Haha By the way, my sister’s mane is Hayley!! Awesome name! lol =D
