I’ve been out of college for a year now, a dual major in Business/Finance and Engineering Technology from a highly rated University. My GPA wasn’t that great at 2.8 but my course load has to count for something! I even have experience from 3 internships and a great letter of recommendation from my last supervisor. So far all I have been able to get are temp jobs which don’t even require a college degree, the full-time Financial Analyst positions that I apply to don’t even respond. I have yet to get a single interview. I took my resume in for a consultation and made the recommended changes. Still nothing. I wrote eight versions of a new cover letter. Still nothing. I’m feeling like it’s hopeless. I have been trying to make my loan payments and make rent/groceries on intermittent temp jobs and I’m really worried that I’m not going to be able to make it much longer and have to move back home with my parents. Why did I even go to college in the first place? Please, someone explain to me why no one will hire me or even at least give me an interview.
Open Question: Why wont anyone hire me?
